The facades, volumes, colours and materials have been designed to offer an elegant and refined architecture. The warm white to brown ochre monochrome shades are enlivened by the balconies and the brilliance of the metal railings, subtly perforated to allow you to see without being seen from the homes. The whole is enhanced with a touch of red, reminiscent of the terracotta elements present in the surrounding area.
The bio-climatic approach, which favours the good orientation of the dwellings, opens views without vis-à-vis and guarantees good sunshine, is accompanied by a technical design of the facades which contributes to the energy saving of the whole (solar gains, thermal insulation).
The path that leads from the street to the buildings, from the city to the intimate, proposes a plant animation. The trees and shrubs in the hedges and gardens along the route punctuate the seasons with their foliage, flowers and scents. A charm, a country maple and an ornamental pear tree whose white bloom explodes in spring, strategically placed, punctuate the site with their silhouette. Small trees such as saskatoons and white saskatoons are distributed throughout the plots.
A play of colouring of blooms, foliage and branches creates a variety of atmospheres: the white oration of the vine and spiraea is enriched with pinkish-red shades thanks to the abelias, flowering shrubs from which the name of the residence takes its inspiration. A vegetable garden is dedicated to residents who wish to grow vegetables, flowers and aromatic plants.
Situated in a quiet area set back from the street, the 3-storey building offers apartments from 2 to 5 rooms opening onto a private outdoor space. The layout and geometry of the buildings promote privacy, limit the number of people facing each other, open views and optimize the sunlight in the gardens.
Particular care has been taken to ensure the privacy of the residents: the apartments all have an entrance, a veritable acoustic and visual airlock, as well as landing doors that are far apart so that you can feel as though you are in a cocoon of tranquillity. The apartments are generously dimensioned and offer a wide range of organisational possibilities. Nearly half of the apartments have a double exposure to capitalize on the beautiful natural light.
